JOEY – COOKBOOK for a KOALA

Concept: a cookbook for conservation. 100 tasty recipes for under 10’s + 100 stunning original koala artworks.

100 recipes from 100 chefs and celebrities.  Recipes that children under ten would find delicious.

Each recipe a favourite from the chef’s childhood; or what they have cooked for their children or young relatives or children of friends.  

The chef/cook to select an artwork from the 100 artworks for a koala collection to accompany their recipe.  See gallery at the bottom of the page at this link.

Timing

to be confirmed, once we have enough participants to know the project will go ahead and we can approach a publisher and sponsors (we can always self-publish). We will offer the books at great wholesale rates to all zoos and  wildlife centres and to conservation groups for their fund raising. As well as online and at all leading bookstores.

Profits from the sale of the JOEY cookbook will go to the growing and planting of koala food trees in locations across Australia.  With the support of chefs this could become a best seller and help increase the awful predicament of the now ‘endangered’ koalas facing the real threat of extinction in the wild. And kids in Australia will be enjoying some great food.
