LAING Mia

Mia Laing has been oil painting since 2009 and is ‘blessed’ with a dedicated home studio and the chance to immerse herself fully into oil painting, of which she has taken every opportunity to do so.   Mia was under the tutorage of D’hange Yammanee for nearly 5 years (in 2009 and then again from 2011 until late 2013). D’hange is a well respected West Australian Artist and Mentor, who guided Mia to an understanding and strength with oil painting. Mia has won a number of awards; is a founding member of ‘Women in Art Western Australia and is dedicated to pursuing an ongoing career in fine art and photography. Mia has been selling steadily from her dedicated home studio collection since 2012.  Collectors have described her work as ‘emotionally uplifting’.
