“This Illustration was inspired by the beautiful koalas that live in and around the area that I am lucky enough to call home. My family and I have been lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of Northern NSW where koalas roamed freely in our back yard and you could often hear them calling to each other at night. I would spend my time searching the tree tops in the hope that I would spot one and often I did. There is an incredible group of people here who rescue these little guys when they are sick or in trouble and they work tirelessly to make sure we will always be blessed to be able to live harmoniously amongst them. This piece is dedicated to all of those beautiful people who make this dream a reality. I hope that this fabulous project inspires more people to care for these beautiful creatures and to continue creating new habitats where they can safely live.” Nayana ILIFFE
Artist bio
Artist and Illustrator Nayana Iliffe creates intricate, realistic drawings of animals for your home and heart and gorgeous art prints for your little ones nursery. A graduate from The National Art School in East Sydney Australia, she then went on to work extensively within the film industry on both Australian and International productions. Props Making, Costume Design and Scenic Art were some of the many areas she worked (and played) in. Her creative journey changed paths once children came along and this is when The Wild Woods was born. Specialising in colour pencil illustrations, Nayana has collaborated with Chocolate companies, Greeting Card manufacturers, Clothing ranges and Nursery bedding and decor. Nayana lives on the North coast of Australia in a little country town and all of her creations are made in her little timber studio surrounded by tall trees, birds and Millie the mutt dog by her side.
