100 Artworks for a Koala entry: Title: ‘ My World in Your Hands ’
Size : W 80cm x H 100cm ( 32″ x 42” ) | Media: mixed media – charcoal, watercolour, pastel & graphite on archival paper.
“ ‘My world in Your Hands’ speaks of the vulnerability, the fragility and the uncertainty of life and without a due course of action we will witness these creatures and the planet we all call home perish. I am so honoured to be part of this very crucial and important campaign to raise awareness for such a vulnerable species as the Koala. Being able to add a ‘voice’ as an advocate by painting this piece, l feel happy in direct contrast of feeling so inept, bereft and devastated watching the catastrophic fires of 2019 and 2020 occur in this beautiful fragile country of Australia. “ Lavinia SMITH-LEWIS
