‘My inspiration for these painting comes from my love of animals and nature. Seeing the devastation caused by the bushfires [late 2019 early 2020] just broke my heart. All the animals losing their homes and lives was just gut wrenching… anything I can do to help these beautiful creatures and their habitat offers me some hope for their survival.” Donna Cozens
Artist bio
Donna Cozens is a self-taught artist whose passion for art started at a very young age when she spent a lot of time drawing freehand and copying her favourite Disney characters. It wasn’t until after the birth of her last child in 2012 that Donna picked up the brush/pencils again. She works in different mediums but acrylic is her current favourite. Her main inspiration for her paintings comes from nature and her love of animals, especially those in the wild.
