“ I created this painting from images that had fixed in my mind after the recent catastrophic fires [2019 /2020] … the process of painting was an opportunity to get those haunting images out. This was a break out for me as I usually paint either en plein air or from photographs, and not normally from imagination…these precious animals need all resources we can give.” Evelyn Dwyer
Artist bio / art shows
Evelyn Dwyer is fun time nurse at the tail end of a 43+ year career. She started painting in around 2007 firstly with acrylics and now paints with watercolours as well.
“I tend to donate my painting to fund raising events like breast cancer and wildlife… and plan to concentrate more time when I retire in 2 years. “
